Our process - How we create engaging experiences

Our approach blends game-design thinking with modern product development practices. We believe in understanding players deeply, prototyping rapidly, and iterating based on real feedback.

Discover

We begin every project by deeply understanding the player experience you want to create. Whether it's a game or a product, we immerse ourselves in understanding your users, their motivations, and the emotional journey you want them to take.

For games, this means exploring genre conventions, analysing successful titles, and identifying opportunities for innovation. For products, we map user journeys, identify friction points, and discover where game-design thinking can transform the experience.

This phase culminates in a comprehensive design vision document that aligns all stakeholders and sets the foundation for everything that follows.

Included in this phase

  • User research
  • Competitive analysis
  • Player psychology mapping
  • Core loop definition
  • Design vision document
  • Scope and feasibility

Design & Prototype

With the vision established, we move into rapid prototyping. For games, this means building playable prototypes that let us test core mechanics before committing to full production. For products, we create interactive mockups that validate engagement systems.

Our design process is deeply iterative. We believe in testing early and often, gathering feedback from real users to refine mechanics, adjust difficulty curves, and polish interactions until they feel just right.

This phase is where game-design principles really shine—we apply concepts like progression systems, feedback loops, and reward psychology to create experiences that are genuinely engaging.

Great design feels invisible. The player should feel guided, not overwhelmed—challenged, not frustrated.

Build & Launch

Production is where everything comes together. For games, this means full asset creation, systems development, and extensive playtesting to ensure every element works in harmony.

We maintain close collaboration throughout this phase, with regular builds and milestone reviews that keep the project on track. Our agile approach allows us to respond to feedback quickly and make adjustments without derailing the schedule.

Launch isn't the end—it's a new beginning. We believe in live operations and continuous improvement, using analytics and player feedback to refine and enhance the experience post-launch.

Included in this phase

  • Production. Full development with regular milestone reviews and stakeholder alignment throughout the build process.
  • Quality Assurance. Comprehensive testing including gameplay balance, user experience testing, and technical QA across all target platforms.
  • Launch & Beyond. Strategic launch planning followed by live operations support, analytics monitoring, and continuous iteration.

Our values - Principles that guide our work

Every decision we make is informed by these core values. They shape how we approach design challenges and define the quality of experiences we create.

  • Player-Centric. Every design decision starts with the player. We obsess over user experience, testing assumptions and iterating until the experience feels natural and engaging.
  • Systems Thinking. We see the big picture. Games and products are complex systems, and we design with an understanding of how every element interconnects.
  • Clarity Over Complexity. Elegant solutions trump complicated ones. We strive to make complex systems feel simple and intuitive to the end user.
  • Data-Informed. We combine creative intuition with analytical rigour. Data helps us understand player behaviour and make better design decisions.
  • Craft & Polish. Details matter. We believe that polish and attention to detail are what separate good experiences from great ones.
  • Continuous Learning. The game industry evolves constantly. We stay curious, experiment with new approaches, and learn from every project.
